Download All Photos from One Post as a ZIP File
A post on X can carry up to four pictures. When it has multiple photos, the card offers them together as one ZIP file, so you can download all photos from a tweet with a single press instead of saving them one by one. The photos keep the order they have in the post, and each file is named after the post and its position, so a set of four stays a set.
The ZIP holds the same original-size files as the single buttons — nothing is recompressed to make it — and it contains only the photos of that one post, not anything else from the account.
Save Twitter Images in the Highest Available Quality
X keeps every uploaded picture in several sizes and shows a smaller one in the timeline. This twitter image downloader always asks for the largest: the original size X stored when the photo was posted, in high quality and up to 4096 pixels on the long side. How to Download Twitter Photos on iPhone and Android
iPhone and iPad
Paste the link in Safari and press Download under a photo. It is saved to Downloads in the Files app; open it and use Share → Save Image to put it in Photos. A ZIP opens in Files with a tap, which unpacks the pictures next to it.
Android
On Android each photo goes to Downloads and appears in the gallery. A ZIP can be opened with the Files app that comes with the phone, which extracts the pictures in one go.
Can You Save Photos Individually Instead of a ZIP?
Yes. Every photo in the post has its own Download button, and tapping a photo opens it full size with a download button on top — handy on a phone, where one picture straight into the gallery is easier than an archive. The ZIP is there for when you want to download twitter photos all together; you never have to use it.
A post with a single picture has no ZIP at all, only its own button. And if the post mixes photos with a video or a GIF, the photos are offered here and the video gets its own MP4 buttons on the same card.
