How to Download Twitter Videos on iPhone and Android
On an iPhone or iPad
Open this page in Safari, paste the post link and press the MP4 you want. Safari saves the file to Downloads in the Files app. To put it in Photos, open it there, tap Share and choose Save Video. That extra step is how iOS treats every download from a website, not something this site adds.
On Android
On Android the video downloads like any other file: it lands in your Downloads folder and appears in the gallery a moment later. Chrome, Samsung Internet and Firefox all work, and there is no app to install. If you save videos often, add the site to your home screen from the browser menu and it opens like an app.
On a computer
On Windows, macOS and Linux the MP4 goes straight to your Downloads folder. Copy the link from the address bar of the post, paste it here and pick a size — 1080p or 720p for editing and watching, a smaller one for sending in a chat.
Which Video Quality Is Available for Download?
Exactly the sizes X keeps for that video, and never more. When someone posts a video, X stores it in several sizes — commonly around 360p, 480p and 720p (HD) — and adds a 1080p (Full HD) file only when the original upload was 1080p or larger. The buttons on the card are those files, labelled by the short side of the picture, so a vertical phone video that is 720 pixels wide is shown as 720p.
So if the largest button you see is 720p, the video simply has no Full HD version on X: no downloader can produce detail that was never uploaded, and upscaling it would only make a bigger file of the same picture. Each button also shows the exact dimensions and the file size before you press it.
The sound in the MP4 is the AAC track X stores with the video. The same track is offered on its own as the original M4A, and converted to MP3 if you prefer that format.
Can You Download Twitter Videos Without X Premium?
Yes. X Premium is a subscription for posting on X — longer posts, editing, higher upload quality — and it plays no part in saving a video from a public post. You do not need Premium, an X account or any app to download twitter videos here: paste the link and the files are yours.
